Recognizing exceptional dedication, Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) Dickson has announced the 2021 Golden Hammer Awards for both the Dickson and Clarksville campuses.
Dickson Hammer Award: Stephanie Murphy, Health Careers Coordinator
Clarksville Hammer Award: Salvatore Evangelista, Mechatronics Instructor
The Golden Hammer is an annual award given to employees who best represent the following attributes based upon a campus-wide vote of peers and colleagues:
H – honesty
A – attentiveness
M – motivation
M – modesty
E - empathy
R – respect
The Hammer Award was initiated in 2009 in honor of current President Arrita Summers, whose nickname was “The Hammer.”
President Summers also presented the following service awards during December 2021 in-service meetings:
20 Years: Kathleen Smith
15 Years: Cathleen Clark, Stephanie Murphy, and Connie Shaw
10 Years: Bryan Johnson
5 Years: JoAnn Furline and Teresa Kinney
