DICKSON, TN: Fifty-four Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Dickson (TCAT Dickson) graduates, representing ten of the college’s fourteen programs, had their diplomas and technical certificates conferred by President Laura Travis during summer commencement.

Tennessee State Representative Jody Barrett who represents part of Dickson County was tapped as the guest speaker. Barrett told the graduates, “It’s okay to take pride in your accomplishments and stand a little taller on days like today. Graduation is not the end. Instead, it is a new beginning. It’s the period at the end of the page. Tomorrow, you turn the page.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, I’m proud of you for what you have accomplished. But you haven’t won the race yet. This is only a heat. I can’t wait to read the chapters you all are about to write.” Barrett said.
