Dickson, TN – The Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) welcomes three new additions to its staff.

3 new employees hired for the Dickson and Clarksville Locations with a combined total
of 51 years work experience.

Cindy Potts assumes the title of Student Services Academic Student Support Associate 5.  Hailing from Lyles, TN, Cindy’s role at the Dickson campus is to provide information by phone and in-person to prospective students and help them navigate the application process.  She also provides customer service to Cosmetology patrons, registers students and processes their paperwork when a student completes a program.  Her duties don’t end there as she is also busy supervising work-study students, processing student refunds and transcript requests among many other functions.  Prior to TCAT, Cindy spent 13 years with the Tennessee Board of Regents and 6 years with Heery International, Inc.

Angela Boggess, a resident of Cadiz, KY, is sharing her wealth of knowledge acting as an Associate Instructor in the Practical Nursing Program at the Clarksville location.  Angela works to provide technical instruction and skill development to enable students to enter employment as licensed practical nurses.  Angela’s wealth of experience includes 2 years with Jennie Stewart Medical Center, 1 year with Gateway Medical Center, 5 years with St. Thomas Midtown, 1- year private practice experience, 7 years with Pennroyal Hospice and 7 years with Western State Hospital.

Students will also get to interact with Clarksville resident Jerry Lee, hired on as the Associate Instructor of HVAC/Refrigeration Technology at the Dickson campus.  Jerry’s role is to provide technical instruction and skill development, arming students with the tools needed to enter the workforce as field technicians in heating, air conditioning, ventilation and refrigeration.  Jerry’s background includes 6 months as an owner/operator of Clarksville Heating and Air, 5 years with Demand Mechanical and over 3 years with Harshaw Trane.  Jerry knows the meaning of leadership as he was also a US Army Staff Sergeant from 1986 to 2007.

TCAT Dickson and Clarksville welcomes these individuals and looks forward to working with them to accomplish our goals of student success and workforce development.
