Inclement weather, especially winter ice and snow, occasionally make it difficult for students to attend school. The faculty and staff of the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Dickson are concerned with the safety of students during inclement weather. In the event of inclement weather, students should use their own judgment in deciding whether to travel to school. When weather conditions are severe, campus may be closed with hybrid learning implemented.
TCAT Dickson may utilize hybrid learning on a temporary basis in the event of campus closure related to weather, sickness, or another emergency situation. Hybrid learning will be delivered in a synchronous manner. Instructors and students will be required to log in to the learning platform with cameras turned on for the entire duration of the class. Student attendance will be monitored visually with secure login required. If a student does not attend via the hybrid delivery method, they will be counted absent for the hours missed.
