Dickson, TN - The Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT) has added five new members to their staff. The new employees join TCAT at a time when the Dickson and Clarksville campuses are seeing exponential growth.

Tommy Yarbrough of Kingston Springs joins TCAT Dickson as a Diesel-Powered Equipment Technology Instructor. Tommy’s role is to provide technical instruction and skill development to enable students to enter employment in truck, construction, agricultural equipment, and related fields as technicians.

Cheryl Sanders of McEwen comes to TCAT Dickson as a Student Services Academic Student Support Associate 5. Cheryl’s role is to help prospective students navigate the application and enrollment process, schedule orientations, prepare accountability reports for federal and state entities, and provide support for the student information management software to instructors. She also maintains placement records for graduates and assists with graduation functions.

Students often interact with Dickson resident Chad Ragan. His role is that of College and Career Success Coach for the institution. Chad’s prior background includes a stint as the bookstore manager. That position involved ordering books, supplies and tools for all incoming and current students across three campuses, resolving invoice issues and preparing year-end closing reports for the main campus and Clarksville extension campus. His new responsibility is primarily recruiting students from high schools in the TCAT Dickson service area, assisting with dual enrollment, and helping current students achieve success in their chosen program. Chad also plays an integral part in coordinating the graduation ceremony for the Dickson campus.

Tuition and book related help can be found in the office of Stacy Langlois of Clarksville. She is the Student Services Financial Support Associate 5 at the Clarksville Campus. Stacey served as Financial Support Associate 3 at the Clarksville extension campus before being promoted to her new position. Her responsibilities included primarily ordering books, supplies and tools for the Clarksville campus, managing night classes and classes for industries, and providing information to prospective students and have expanded to include being the bookstore manager for TCAT Dickson and its extension campuses. She is also involved with preparations for the Clarksville graduation ceremony.

JoAnn Furline who hails from Dickson acts as the Student Services Financial Support Associate 3 at the Dickson Campus. JoAnn’s role includes ordering books, tools and supplies for students at the Dickson main campus, providing information by phone and in-person to prospective students, waiting on Cosmetology patrons and others who are having work performed by our programs, making deposits, and coordinating night classes.
