The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Pharmacy Technology Instructor for the Clarksville Campus.
- Minimum of Associates Degree or credential from an ASHP/ACPE-accredited pharmacy technician training program.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.
- Current nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician certification.
- Must commit to remain current in the Pharmacy Technician field.
- Must possess the organizational and communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher.
- Must show evidence of good character, mature attitude and stable personality.
- Must be able to adapt quickly to new technology.
- Computer skills required.
GENERAL DUTIES: The Pharmacy Technology Associate Instructor is responsible for teaching theory and skills to prepare students to become Certified Pharmacy Technicians. The Associate Instructor will monitor, grade, evaluate and advise students on individual progress; maintain records and complete reports in a timely manner; assist in recruitment of new students and placement of graduates; participate in the development of the program; maintain good public relations with business and industry; develop and maintain agreements with clinical partners; maintain an active advisory committee, and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Health Careers Coordinator. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Class hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
SALARY: Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.
